Hoy más que nunca la diversidad de conductas que se observan cuando múltiples agentes interactúan a través de procesos dinámicos generan escenarios difíciles de prever. Esto último ha permitido a las Ciencias de la Complejidad poder abordar problemas, que, si bien no tienen respuestas certeras, si son susceptibles de modelizarse a través de soluciones cuyos límites y bordes son predecibles. En el Instituto de Sistemas Complejos de Valparaíso (ISCV) deseamos promover y desarrollar esta línea de pensamiento científico para abordar los diferentes problemas a los cuales estamos enfrentado como Sociedad. Como, por ejemplo, problemas de impacto ambiental que surgen como consecuencia del cambio climático, del flujo del transporte en el funcionamiento de las ciudades, de las patologías del cerebro dado la interacción de proteínas y circuitos disfuncionales. Como ISCV nos gustaría recibir sus comentarios, opiniones sobre estos temas para ir construyendo así una comunidad local, nacional e internacional con la cual poder construir una mejor Sociedad.
Today more than ever, the diversity of behaviors observed when multiple agents interact, through dynamic processes, generates scenarios that are difficult to foresee. The latter has allowed Complexity Sciences to address problems that, although they do not have specific answers, are susceptible to be modeled through solutions whose limits and edges are predictable. At the Institute of Complex Systems of Valparaiso (ISCV) we want to promote and develop this line of scientific thought to address the different problems we face as a society. For example, environmental impact problems arise due to climate change, transportation flow in the functioning of cities, brain pathologies due to the interaction of proteins and dysfunctional circuits. As ISCV we would like to receive your comments and opinions on these issues to build a local, national and international community with which to build a better Society.
