Escuela Latinoamericana de Neurociencia Computacional: LACONEU

El objetivo principal de LACONEU 2023: 6ª Escuela Latinoamericana de Verano en Neurociencia Computacional es promover en América Latina el campo de la Neurociencia Computacional a través de herramientas matemáticas y computacionales de vanguardia y sus aplicaciones en la Investigación Biomédica y la Aplicación Clínica. El estudio multidisciplinario de las funciones cerebrales utilizando enfoques neurocientíficos, matemáticos y computacionales ayuda a una mejor comprensión de las funcionalidades cerebrales en estados normales o patológicos, así como a potenciar importantes avances en educación, marcos teóricos, imágenes cerebrales y terapias biomédicas.

La Escuela de Verano  promueve un ambiente participativo e interactivo para el intercambio entre estudiantes e investigadores, basado en la entrega y asimilación de conocimientos teórico y práctico fundamental en neurociencia computacional. Se fomentara la internacionalización regional estableciendo una colaboración fuerte y duradera entre América Latina y el resto del mundo.

The main objective of LACONEU 2023: 6th Latin American Summer School in Computational Neuroscience is to promote in Latin America the field of Computational Neuroscience through state-of-the-art mathematical and computational tools and their applications in Biomedical Research and Clinical Application. The multidisciplinary study of brain functions using neuroscientific, mathematical, and computational approaches helps better to understand brain functionalities in normal or pathological states, as well as to enhance essential advances in education, theoretical frameworks, brain imaging, and biomedical therapies.

The Summer School promotes a participatory and interactive environment for exchange between students and researchers based on the delivery and assimilation of fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in computational neuroscience. It will foster regional internationalization by establishing a strong and lasting collaboration between Latin America and the rest of the world.
